Retention through reflection, was one of the main themes here that really caught my attention. I would suppose that to the degree each person was engaged in the project they would have stored up a goodly amount of thoughts memories and feelings about each days journey. The reflection of what took place coupled with newfound tools allowed them to articulate the aggregated understandings first to themselves. This personal cognitive development enabled them to then join the group to create a community of practice that allowed the class and ultimately the school to demonstrate the immense value of project based learning systems potential through personal empowerment.
